I am a professional Tarot Card Reader. I have been working with the Tarot for more than fifteen years but it never ceases to amaze and inspire me, as there is always something new to learn and explore with Tarot. It's an incredible, never ending book of wisdom. My passion for Tarot has lead me down many paths over the years, including the study of the occult, paganism, Goddess worship, alchemy, astrology, symbolism, numerology, the Qabalah and Vodou. I have been practicing magick just as long or longer than Tarot, although it's hard to say which one came first. I suppose it was Magick. But they are both such a huge aspect of my life that it feels like they've always been a part of me. My experiences with both have been incredible, which is why I teach various classes and workshops on Tarot and Practical Magick at A Far Away Place located Downtown Asheville, North Carolina and Eclectic By Nature in Greensboro, North Carolina. I like being able to share their truer purpose and their many possibilities with others. Tarot and Magick are amazing tools to be used for spiritual growth and self-empowerment. I love being able to get that across to people.
In the beginning there was Magick...
Practicing Magick is one of the few things in my life that just came natural to me. Even in the beginning I found that I understood it, I was good at it and I was completely hooked!
But more about me and tarot....
My love affair with tarot began in 1993 when a friend of mine indicated that she wanted a tarot deck for her birthday. I was living the Florida Keys at the time and there wasn't a lot in the way of shopping on the island where I lived but I happened to remember seeing a couple tarot decks tucked away on one of the shelves at a little nearby shop called the Blue Moon Trader. There were only three or four decks available and they were all very different but as I went through the process of trying to pick out the perfect deck for my friend I found myself drawn in by the images. The pictures seemed to speak an unspoken, timeless language. That would be the beginning of my never ending journey with tarot. My study has been quite intensive since then. In 2003 I was finally persuaded by Tavane Taylor, owner of Eclectic By Nature in Greensboro, North Carolina to read professionally at her shop where I was the house reader for more than six years until relocating to Asheville, North Carolina where I am currently reading tarot cards and teaching workshops at A Far Away Place. I am also available for online and person to person readings via appointment.
